Nick Evershed is the data and interactive editor for Guardian Australia. After a short stint as a scientist, he switched careers and is now specialising in data-based investigations and multimedia. His work includes using data analysis to find undeclared political donations and highlight the potential misuse of political entitlements, interactive graphics on everything from dredging in the Great Barrier Reef to housing deposits, and more innovative work such as crowdsourcing projects and using games as a format for interactive explainers.
